The City Council of La Guancha concluded this week asphalt works worth 250,000 euroscorresponding to the 2022 paving plan. The mayor and now also responsible for the Works area, Antonio Hernández (PP), stresses that “the different actions have made it possible to improve not only the road in various areas of the town, but also sidewalks have been improved, guaranteeing maximum safety for pedestrians and 35 new overpasses have been placed in different streets of the town” .
The works have been carried out on the roads of Lomo Blanco, Hoya Gris, El Risco, Lomo La Bautista, Las Colmenitas, Lomo La Campana, La Cascajera, Hoya El Lagar, Los Hornos, Los Geráneos, Camino Zapote, La Campana and Las Longueras . They began last October and have been fully financed through the municipal coffers. The different actions were developed by the company Obras Geotécnicas de Canary Islands.
Antonio Hernández values that “we have successfully completed the asphalting work in these areas of La Guancha, but we have to continue allocating new batches to act on other streets and agricultural tracks and, even, in part of those areas that we have not been able to include now In its whole. These actions have not only allowed us to improve the paving of these streets, but also the new flyovers will also play an important role in improving traffic and pedestrian safety.”
