In the last few hours, the emergency services have rescued a total of nine hikers in three different services in Tenerife Y Gran Canaria.
In one case, the rescued person was evacuated in a helicopter belonging to the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands after falling and suffering a leg injury while traveling through the Los Catalanes area, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
This man was evacuated to the Tenerife North airport, where an ambulance was waiting for him and took him to the University Hospital of La Candelaria.
Also this Saturday, a GES helicopter came to the aid of four hikers in Agaete, since they had gotten lost and had entered an area that was difficult to access.
In a event Similarly, another helicopter, the Helimer de Salvamento Marítimo, rescued four other hikers unharmed yesterday Friday who could not continue their journey on the coast of Santiago del Teide.
