SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 3 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The PSOE has celebrated the news made public today Tuesday in which the Rodin Museum in Paris announced the stoppage of the “museum of copies” that the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council was going to install in the Viera y Clavijo Park and that professionals in the sector rejected cultural, academic and municipal opposition parties.
The spokesperson for the Municipal Socialist Group and former mayor of Santa Cruz, Patricia Hernández, has indicated in a statement that it is “a magnificent way to start 2023 and a beautiful ending for this grotesque.”
“We celebrate that the cultural sector has been able to stop this pufo and the only thing we regret is that this stoppage was not the result of a rectification by Bermúdez, but rather the shame generated for the Rodin Museum in national and international media due to the overwhelming and justified criticism it received the project of the cultural sector and the city of Santa Cruz”, explained Hernández.
The Municipal Socialist Group has announced that it will immediately request the administrative act that puts an end to the award of the “museum of copies” and warns that if it does not receive it and it is only an announcement, it will continue with its plan to challenge the project in court .
From the socialist formation they also want to clear up doubts about whether it is a “diversionary maneuver” to avoid the legal actions announced by Patricia Hernández in the December plenary session or a real stoppage of the project.
