SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The municipalities of Los Realejos and Puerto de la Cruz, and to a lesser extent Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Adeje, have been the most affected by the wind that has hit the archipelago since Monday night, mainly with elements falling onto public roads such as tree branches, roof tiles or wiring.
This is how the insular director of Security of the Cabildo, Rubén Fernández, exposes it to the media, who points out that due to the action of lightning there has been a fire in a power station with antennas in Motaña Cogeja, in Granadilla, and two forestry attempts in two tracks in the same municipality.
However, it has clarified that “they are not serious or dangerous, nor is any unfavorable evolution expected.”
It has also indicated that there have been water drains in the Güímar industrial estate and has urged the population to exercise caution since the alerts for wind and haze remain in force.
In the municipality of La Laguna there have been numerous damages to the tents and other structures of the Royal Camp, located in the Parque de la Constitución, so the facilities will remain closed to the public until the damage is repaired.
Likewise, the opening of the Craft Show and the celebration of the commercial revitalization activities scheduled for this Tuesday in Taco, Geneto and the Antonio Mederos Sosa square in the town have been postponed.
