The project is part of the Municipal Cooperation Plan 2018-2021. The island manager pointed out that the planned intervention “is intended to renovate this key facility in the municipality, it will mean meeting a demand from the neighborhood and solving the needs for infrastructure improvement current”.

For the execution of the works, the winning company has a period of eleven months, with the expectation that they can begin at the beginning of the year, he explained.

The mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, stressed that this work “is very important for the municipality because it will collect wastewater from the collector of the Lomo Pelado core, another investment that is currently being carried out together with the Government of the Canary Islands.”

In addition, he wanted to highlight the “excellent coordination with the Cooperation area of the Cabildo, both at a political and technical level, which will allow us to complete this work with a second phase, included in the Municipal Cooperation Plan 2022-2025, to complete the sanitation from El Sino street to its junction with the TF-24”.

For Zebenzuí Chinea, “purification and sanitation are issues that have to unite all administrations to guarantee the provision of these services in an optimal way to citizens, they are also essential for the environment.”

“This intervention is added to other actions that we have also been promoting on the island in collaboration with the town halls to improve water purification services,” he added.
