Three months. This is the time that the interested companies have to present their offers to obtain the administrative concession for the construction and subsequent exploitation of the new nautical navy, which will be located in front of the mouth of the Santos ravine, in the capital. This was published yesterday by the Official State Gazette (BOE), in which the Port Authority announced the opening of the term of a contest valued at 16 million.
The future marina, which will conform to the provisions of the Special Plan for the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, will not only have the corresponding service areas at sea and on land, but will also have an area of more than 4,000 square meters for free access and public use. In this area, the concessionaire could take advantage of a maximum of 10% of the area for the installation of kiosks and terraces.
More specifically, the new facility will be located on the seafront of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the main port entrance to the city, between the Central Dock of the Los Llanos Basin and the mouth of the Santos ravine. It will have 44,407 square meters of water surface, and 10,328 on land, 3,597 of them for nautical-sports use and the remaining 6,731 for cultural, recreational, maintenance, commercial and hotel/restaurant use.
