SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 24 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The area of Management of the Natural Environment and Security of the Cabildo de Tenerife will promote professional training practices in work in the natural environment, as reported by the Island Corporation.
In this way, it will meet the demands of educational centers that provide training related to the management of the natural environment and landscaping to expand and include clauses in the orders to public companies and in the bidding documents for works and services in the Natural Environment that be awarded to companies so that the practical training of VET students is included in these actions.
The councilor for the area, Isabel García, has pointed out that the objective is to work to improve the island’s natural environment, but it is also a commitment to contribute to the training of people who in the future will dedicate themselves to doing so professionally.
“That is why we propose ourselves as a reception center for students who can consolidate their knowledge on the ground, accompanied by the professionals who carry out their work in the island institution,” he said.
Since the year 2000, the Cabildo de Tenerife and the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands have been collaborating so that VET students related to the Natural Environment and Landscaping (Agrarian Family) carry out real work practices with the Environment staff. Ambient.
All this was endorsed with the signing of a collaboration agreement between both administrations in which the obligations of both parties were established.
In addition, since that date, the number of students and vocational training cycles in the field has increased notably, generating a greater demand for internships and companies, which has led to a greater number of public and private companies involved in student internships. .
Finally, the new regulation of professional training establishes teaching modalities (DUAL) in which practical training is even more important in teaching hours than in traditional cycles, which will motivate the Cabildo and the companies themselves to reorganize in order to continue collaborating with Education to ensure that future professionals who work in the Environment sector are as well trained as possible when they arrive in the world of work.
