The forest fire that has ravaged the mountains of Los Realejos, in the north of Tenerife, it approaches the Teide National Park, although for now it has not affected it. From there, specifically from the Izaña Observatory, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has recorded some night images from its all-sky camera in which the “disturbing glow” can be seen, as it has been described, of the fire approaching to the island summit.

The flames, which have reached heights of up to 60 meters, have already affected some 2,400 hectares of forest, according to the latest update from the Government of the Canary Islands on Sunday morning.
