The Governing Council approved this Thursday the 2022-2027 strategic planning instrument of the public company Sociedad Canaria de Fomento Económica (Proexca), which contemplates an increase in the workforce of eight people for the coming years with the aim of reinforcing the internationalization process of the productive fabric of the archipelago.
The strategic document for the next five years was approved by the Proexca Board of Directors at the end of March, with six axes or objectives: design the closest and most efficient internationalization support tools for the Canarian company profile (SMEs and professionals) ; incorporate innovation, technology and digitization into expansion abroad; develop talent for the process; access funding from the European Union (EU) and international organizations and institutions; promote the attraction and retention of foreign investment with high added value and reinforce the coordination and complementarity of the actions of the internationalization community of the Canary Islands.
With a biennial action plan to specify and adapt to the changing situation on the global stage, the approved instrument also identifies the strategic sectors for the Canary Islands in priority foreign markets (European Union, United Kingdom, Scandinavia, West African coast and United States), where the Proexca Foreign Network is a key element for economic capillarity, the Executive said in a note.
For this reason, the increase in personnel of the public company is focused on six jobs for the Foreign Network in Madrid, London, Dakar, Stockholm, Berlin and Washington, in addition to two others in the Investment Attraction and Marketing areas. and communication.
Processed from the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment, as it corresponds to the functional guardianship of Proexca, the agreed proposal was submitted to the Governing Council jointly with the Treasury, Budgets and European Affairs, as the competent area to authorize the hiring of permanent staff .
