The CEO of DinoSol Supermarkets, javier pugathe Councilor for Innovation of the Island Council of Tenerife, Enrique Arriagaand the person in charge of Canarian Esports League HiperDino, Anthony Cabrerathey carried out the countdown tonight to officially start Tenerife GGin the Fairgrounds of the Island.
During the event, Javier Puga, Enrique Arriaga and Antonio Cabrera took the stage to say a few words of welcome to the more than 800 participants in the LAN zone, who during the six days in which the event will take place will be able to be connected 24 hours a day of the day and even spend the night in the enclosure itself with tents set up for it.
In addition to the LAN area, there will be competition areas of esportsthematic workshops and video game development, as well as professional conferences with topics focused on Artificial Intelligence, metaverse and culture gamingamong others.
50,000 euros will be distributed in prizes.
The organizers of Tenerife GG have differentiated two areas: one, playful, called GameCon and another, professional, called GamePro.
visitors to GameCon will enjoy an area dedicated to culture k pop and fan, as well as a space called Hobby GG where they will have at their disposal more than 150 tables with activities, retro arcade machines, board games and a family – children’s area where they can learn robotics thanks to the University of La Laguna.
GamePro It will take place in the Tenerife Auditorium and will host conferences by top-level national and international speakers such as Alistair Cockburn (one of the authors of the Agile Manifesto); Rocío Vidal, author of the scientific YouTube channel, Schrödinger’s Cat; Conchi Lillo, neurobiologist at USAL, and David Bonilla, CEO of the Manfred company, among others.
Tenerife GG will be held between July 12 and 17, and seeks to become the largest event in the Archipelago in which video games, esports and technology are combined to offer players and the general public all the latest in this industry.
The entries of Tenerife GG are available on the website www.tenerife.gg/tickets, and with the purchase of the visitor ticket, all boys and girls under 11 years of age will have free access to the site, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
