The president of Canary People’s PartyManuel Dominguezhas announced today, Saturday, that its formation will develop in the month of October, facing the new political course, an itinerant convention for the Archipelago that will start in Tenerife and end in Gran Canaria with the participation of the national president of the popular, Alberto Nunez Feijoo.
Manuel Domínguez indicated that the objective is to publicize the ‘Plan to Govern’ that they have drawn up and that it focuses on four fundamental axes: economic, social, health and the primary sector. “A project that addresses the reality of the Canary Islands and the people of the Canary Islands, the future challenges of our land and our people, which shows that the Popular Party is prepared to govern and offer real solutions, demonstrating that we are the alternative to the disastrous management of the autonomous government”, he pointed out.
“In the PP we are convinced that the Canary Islands need a change of course to face the future that awaits us. It needs a government that takes into account its reality and is capable of correcting the serious mistakes made,” said the leader of the popular Canarians. , who also criticized the “constant forgetfulness” of the central Executive with the autonomous community.
“The Canary Islands are outside of Pedro Sánchez’s objective; it is not part of his agenda of priorities in matters as relevant as irregular immigration, the economy or the worrying social scenario. An oversight that has had the Government presided over by Ángel Víctor Torres as a necessary accomplice , who has not known or has not wanted to demand responsibilities in Madrid”, affirmed Manuel Domínguez.
A “VERY NEGATIVE” BALANCE
The president of the Canarian PP made these statements at the start of the regional Board of Directors of his party, held today in Santa Cruz de La Palma to address the closure of the political course, evaluate the work carried out by the new leadership, which is six months old front of the political organization in the islands, and make an evaluation of the so-called Pact of the Flowers, which, according to what he indicated, “gives a very negative balance”.
“We are facing a president kidnapped by his partners, a president who does not react to the main problems of the Canary Islands, who has preferred to bet on ensuring its stability rather than remedying the complicated situation of the Islands. The management of Social Rights should be ashamed to any government, the data in Dependency is shocking, the poverty and social exclusion indicators have set off alarms for a long time, the serious migratory crisis that affects the Canary Islands continues among the pending issues, as well as the terrible defense of the Islands against Moncloa”, he commented.
Lastly, Manuel Domínguez insisted that the Popular Party will continue “working with absolute responsibility and dedication with the aim of building a better Canary Islands, with opportunities for all, resolutely betting on the best social policy, which is none other than employment, for undertaking a tax reform, for promoting competitiveness and boosting economic growth”.
