The regional councilor responsible for the Area of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning, Jose Antonio Valbuena (PSOE), highlighted the importance of “keeping these types of facilities in perfect condition, even more so when they are used for water for human consumption.” In addition, he recalled that the subsidy from the Regional Council represents 99.76% of the budget for the work, which counted as completion deadline on December 31, 2023 and it is nearing completion.
Disabled by Health
Victor Navarro explained that “these municipal facilities had been rendered useless by order of the Ministry of Health, as they did not meet the necessary conditions to maintain the supply to the population of this part of the municipality of Silense, so this intervention required emergency action by part of all the administrations involved. When these works are completed, this drinking water tank will be able to comply with all the guidelines imposed by Health and its use will be resumed as a key part of the drinking water supply system in this municipality of the Low Island.
