Neighbors of Puertito assure that the project will improve the environment

The majority of the residents of Puertito de Adeje are in favor of the development of the Cuna del Alma project and they affirm that “it will only bring benefits and improvements for the current environment”. After several informative meetings with the promoters held from the initial phase, they insist on remembering that they are the first group interested in and affected by its development and, in this sense, they clarify that they are calm and hopeful that it will go ahead.

The president of the Neighborhood Association, Mari Luz Galindo, clarifies that, despite the critical voices, the true residents of the area fully agree with the sustainable tourism project that is intended to be developed. She believes that the works will solve a real insecurity problem due to the existence of a large group of squatters and illegal campers, who are the main detractors of the project. “Aside from improving access and services for residents, our homes are respected and we will even see how our beach is going to be improved,” adds Galindo.

For her part, the vice president of the same association, Mariola Melo Hernández, explains that the people who have been against it do so because they do not have real information. “We are calm and they have assured us that they will even improve the church area, providing us with more parking spaces. In addition to having better access, even for people with reduced mobility.

Neighborhood representatives insist that the Puertito de Adeje tourism project, Cuna del Alma, includes improvements to the beach for public use and deny that the construction of a marina is planned. In addition, it will mean that the natural environment is recovered with landscaping improvements, since it is based on the philosophy of integration and respect for the environment.

Since its inception, those responsible for the Cradle of the Soul project have announced that the safeguarding and protection of the historic settlement of the 20 houses of Puertito is guaranteedan area that has a lack of services that will be covered, improving the current situation.
