SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 31 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports this Tuesday that since the last data update last Friday, 993 new positives in Covid-19 have been registered in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group at that is followed up after the acute phase of the pandemic has passed.
Therefore, the accumulated number of coronavirus cases among this group amounts to 65,572 people in the Canary Islands.
Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 850.98 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 415.70, collects a note from the Ministry.
Currently, in the archipelago there are 261 people admitted with coronavirus, of which 18 are in the ICU and the rest, 243, on the ward.
On the other hand, the Canary Islands have registered a total of six deaths since Saturday, three in Gran Canaria, two in Tenerife and one in La Palma.
The deceased persons, aged between 62 and 101 years, had previous pathologies and were hospitalized.
