The Popular Party proposes a Multi-year Investment Plan so that the Atogo Motor Circuit, in Granadilla de Abona, it will be a reality in 2025. Emilio Navarro, insular president of the popular, summarizes: “We will seek the necessary agreements so that the Cabildo invests 20 million a year during the next three years.”
Navarro and the members of the popular group in the Cabildo have held sectoral meetings, “in which we have collected the demands of those who make up the motor sector on the Island, who, fed up with delaying the Circuit project over time, demand concrete actions of immediate”.
The Populares emphasize in their argument that Tenerife has a great love of motoring, which, on the other hand, is a sport that generates significant economic activity. Two fundamental factors that will be highlighted in the plenary session on the 27th, where the 5.7 million euros allocated to the circuit in the remaining treasury from the previous year will be approved. The investment, together with many others up to 136 million, was rejected in the session on the 4th with the vote against the opposition of the PP and CC, plus Sí Podemos Canarias, which supports the PSOE island government from outside and Citizens (Cs).
North and South Hospitals
The Popular Party also claims “the role of the Cabildo to lead the process to complete the care portfolio of hospitals in the North and South.” Lope Afonso, island coordinator, argues: “As the island’s government, it has to ensure that the quality of life of citizens in every corner is improved, and health is one of the aspects that most worries this society.”
Afonso understands that “the Cabildo must get involved and lead, in collaboration with the SCSall the necessary actions to complete the care portfolio of both centers».
Alfonso remembers that the PP presented a resolution proposal, supported by all the groups, so that the hospitals of the North and the South become a reality as soon as possible, “because we have been waiting 30 years”.
