SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Culture area, has called for aid to partially finance projects of cultural companies for a maximum amount of 575,000 euros.

The agreement was approved by the Governing Council at the proposal of the First Vice President and Island Councilor for Culture, Enrique Arriaga, who considers that “this contribution represents a stimulus for businessmen who maintain their commitment to culture.”

Arriaga explains in a note that this subsidy aims to finance entities in the cultural and creative sector on the island, “that have a direct relationship with artistic and creative expressions, such as the creation, production, dissemination and conservation of goods and services that embody cultural, artistic or creative expressions, as well as other related tasks”.

The subsidies will finance between 30% and up to 60%, depending on the modality in which they are presented out of the four possible according to the budget, of the expenses of cultural projects carried out by companies and entrepreneurs, excluding from these aids, among others, the expenses of the activities of the cultural project that are held outside of Tenerife.

The term of execution of activity is established between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023, although the regulatory bases contemplate the exceptionality of said period.

The island councilor also details that “a great effort has been made from the Cabildo in providing these grants, which have increased by 64% compared to last year” and recalls that the deadline for submitting applications will be open until May 19 .

Companies or entrepreneurs who have their registered office and fiscal office on the island of Tenerife or those who do not have their registered office and fiscal office on the island of Tenerife, apply for activities carried out in any of the municipalities of Tenerife, may participate.

Applications may be processed electronically, through ‘sede.tenerife.es’ or, if they are natural persons, they may choose the electronic presentation channel, preferably, or they may also opt for face-to-face presentation.
