The Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife report on the collision of a car against a wall that took place last Sunday, around 02:00, on Francisco La Roche Avenue, before access to the coastal road tunnel. As they explain, upon the arrival of the agents, the driver of the accident vehicle and his companion left the scene, but were intercepted.
The driver did not have a license, gave a positive breathalyzer test (0.99 mg/l) and the vehicle had an expired ITV. “After the accident, he fled the scene with the rest of the vehicle documentation in hand,” the agents added.
Likewise, both the driver and the passenger had to be treated by the health services due to bruises and minor injuries. While the vehicle, a red Citroën C2, was towed away.
The driver is charged with a crime against road safety.
