The City Council of La Laguna seeks preventive solutions to alcohol abuse on public roads, and for this purpose, the Social Welfare and Drug Addiction area has promoted meetings of both young as adults to promote public health and coexistence.
The first of these meetings took place last Thursday, and about twenty people participated in the program for the prevention of dependencies and addictions “Count on me, Count on you”.
In that first meeting, to which all the social, community and institutional representatives of the municipality were convened, in addition to the presentation of the data on youth consumption and risk behaviors, points of view were provided and commitments were made to disseminate the process to bring it closer to all citizens.
In a first phase, an anonymous and open survey will be distributed to the entire population to collect all possible information on what motivates the phenomenon of the large bottles, its real scope and, subsequently, assess the most appropriate measures. This document is available here.
