The Youth House of El Chorrillo hosted the presentation of the new Training Program in Alternation with Employment (PFAE) Rosatur II, through which fifteen unemployed people registered in El Rosario will be trained in local tourism promotion and information to visitor. The Mayor of Rosario, Escolástico Gil, and the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Yeray Gutiérrez, welcomed the students, as well as the management and teaching team of a project that benefits from a grant from the European Social Fund and the Canary Islands Service of Employment (SCE) of almost 318,000 euros.
Gil highlighted the importance of this type of training program since “with initiatives of this nature we open the possibility of young boys entering the labor market, a group that, unfortunately, has one of the highest unemployment rates in all of Spain and that with adequate training they can improve this situation».
In addition, Escolástico Gil explained that it is the first of the three PFAE that the Rosario Consistory will launch during 2022. «This, specifically, is the second edition of the employment program that was carried out in 2019 and which had a great reception among the citizens of El Rosario,” said Gutiérrez.
The Rosatur II project is included as a Training Project in Alternation with Employment-Youth Guarantee for the training specialty of Local Tourism Promotion and Visitor Information and has an SCE grant of 317,963 euros, plus a municipal contribution of 5,000 euros. The objective of this PFAE is to facilitate the inclusion of unemployed people under 30 years of age in the municipality through this training project.
