SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 5. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Roads Area of the Cabildo de Tenerife continues this week with the rehabilitation of the pavement of the Autopista del Sur (TF-1) in several of the junctions included in this high-occupancy road as it passes through the municipality of Adeje and in both directions of circulation. Some of them must be closed during the work, so the corresponding detours will be marked in each case to promote driving safety in the area.
The Island Councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, wished to recall that the work to improve the pavement will be carried out between Sunday night and Friday morning, always at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The improvement of these links will be noticed in the short term, also contributing to the comfort of driving, indicated the counselor.
This week’s work will run from Sunday night to Friday morning, the 11th. The improvement work will be carried out on links 76 (Costa Adeje/Torviscas/Playa Fañabé), 78 (Costa Adeje/La Caleta/ Fañabé), 79A (Adeje) and 79B (Las Nieves/Los Olivos).
On Sunday and Monday nights, rehabilitation will be carried out at exit 76, so the exit lane will remain closed as well as the incorporation lane towards Adeje and the incorporation lanes to the roundabout. Thus, drivers traveling south who wish to access Costa Adeje, Torviscas or Playa Fañabé, will have to continue to Junction 78 to make a U-turn and return to Santa Cruz, to the destination area.
Likewise, vehicles that wish to join the highway from the X-Sur Shopping Center area must do so through link 78.
Starting at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the works will take place on junction 78, so those who, heading south, wish to access Costa Adeje, Torviscas or Playa Fañabe, will have to continue driving to junction 79A to make a change of direction and return to its destination. In addition, those who from these areas, as well as from the Miraverde urbanization, want to join the road, can do so at junction 76. This exit can also be used by vehicles traveling towards the capital and seeking to enter these population centers.
During the nights of Wednesday and Thursday, links 79A and 79B will be improved, so link 81 (Los Menores/Armeñime/Playa Paraíso) will be enabled to access the areas of Adeje, Las Nieves and Los Olivos. Drivers who wish to join the motorway from these towns may do so via this same link.
These works are part of the TF-1 rehabilitation plan that has been carried out since last April and which includes an execution period of approximately fourteen months. In total, the works, carried out by Sacyr, will comprise nearly 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico.
