SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 21 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The interventions of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium grew by 1.8% in 2021, compared to the previous year, to a total of 3,765, of which 2,485 had moderate risk (level II), according to the report data made public this Monday.
The details have been exposed in a press conference by the president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín; the Minister of Management of the Natural Environment and security, Isabel García; the insular director of Security and president of the Consortium, Rubén Fernández, and the chief officer Florencio López.
The fires, with 1,649, monopolize the activity of the firefighters, especially highlighting the burning of stubble due to agricultural activity and the fires in garbage containers (245), both due to acts of vandalism and for placing flammable products.
