The Bishopric of Tenerife has issued a statement this Monday in which guarantees that it has not registered any property in the registry “of which it is not certain that it is its rightful owner”.
Thus, he points out that the Church “does not want to dispose of assets that do not belong to her” and specifies that those she disposes of “are always at the service of society, since their purpose is always to celebrate and announce the faith, as well as to promote and support charitable-social works”.
In addition, it points out that the latest report published by the Episcopal Conference that includes the registration of 32 real estate without being certain that they are yours “It has been an unfortunate mistake” so they see it as “timely” to publish the specific identity of each of these assets “in order to avoid entirely inappropriate interpretations and accusations.”
The Bishopric points out that it remains “available to provide information” and collaborate with any individual or legal entity that “feels more entitled” to any of the goods that have been registered.
