SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 12 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has shown its support for digital training and the fight against loneliness for older people on the island, as reported by the Island Corporation.
In this sense, the CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity, Nauzet Gugliotta, has visited the association Dialogue Social y Arte, DialogArte, of Candelaria.
Gugliotta took advantage of his meeting with the entity to learn about the community development work they have underway. “Working in a network, with other groups, helps them to create unity and share experiences,” he specified.
“In the end,” he added, “it is the associations and entities who know first-hand what the population needs and it is to them that they first turn; that is why we have to be by their side, working in a coordinated manner.”
For its part, the ‘ParticipArte’ project is aimed at the population of the municipality of Candelaria, focusing above all on vulnerable groups and prioritizing people with functional diversity and those who are in the aging process.
Its objective is to promote the quality of life of the people who actively participate in it, with the improvement of their personal skills and level of competences.
The entity seeks to facilitate participation channels by promoting support networks among the beneficiaries and generating support and autonomy spaces. The possibility of offering information on social, socio-cultural, leisure and digital resources is also considered.
All in all, the purpose of this line of subsidies is to promote social participation and also attend to diversity and promote associationism.
The association Dialogo Social y Arte Factoría Social has a project with which it becomes one of the 73 entities that have benefited from the distribution of more than 638,000 euros that have been allocated to defray the commitment of groups and associations for community work.
