More than a thousand students participated in 2021 in the Environmental Education activities launched by the Teide National Park. In total, 45 talks have been given to 1,190 students and 99 teachers from 27 different educational centers on the Island. Some of them after these conferences participated in 39 routes in which 941 students and 89 teachers from 18 different educational centers took part.
The Minister for Management of the Natural Environment and Safety, Isabel García, assured that “very important educational work that has already been consolidated over time” is carried out in the Teide National Park, and that it is aimed at all the educational centers of the Isla, which consists of giving talks at the interested educational center itself and carrying out guided interpretive routes, either through the National Park itself or through the Telesforo Bravo Visitor Center and the Juan Acosta Rodríguez native flora garden.
These training activities are aimed at students from the third cycle of primary school, so students from 5th and 6th years of Primary, Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), Baccalaureate and Training Cycles participate.
