James Rhodes turns the traditional classical concert into a truly inclusive experience. The English musician, happily living in Spain, shares his love and passion for music in his performances and makes each member of the public connect with him and with the great composers he presents and performs. Rhodes is also a wonderful and unique communicator who, with a unique blend of wit and humor, shares fascinating insights and makes serious topics like classical music accessible to all.

“In my concerts I talk about the pieces I perform, I tell why I have chosen them, what importance do they have for me and in what context were they composed”. This is how James Rhodes explains what his recitals are like in the prologue of his book Instrumental. Memories of music, medicine and madness (13th edition, more than 150,000 copies sold), with which he has obtained an enormous and unexpected success throughout the world.

In an effort to shake off the dust that sometimes seems to surround this musical genre, Rhodes offers a fresh look and a completely revolutionary concert format in the context of classical music. The British artist has coined a type of his own and personal recital, where he, in addition to playing, contextualizes the works he performs and tells the story and biographical notes of the composers on stage. With these unique concerts, James Rhodes has become one of the main promoters of classical music in the world, thanks to his tours and concerts in all kinds of festivals and venues, as well as several documentaries about him filmed with the complicity of broadcasters. British and Spanish television.

Charismatic and very talented, James Rhodes absolutely believes in the power of classical music: “In this concert I would like to invite the spectator to escape from the increasingly crazy world we live in and recharge our batteries a bit”. Critically acclaimed for having developed his own style, Rhodes brings a very personal touch to each of his performances that show the experience of music in the first person, undoing the halo of solemnity that surrounds classical music to bring it closer to the great public.
