An impressive falcon receives feather implants from other animals in Tenerife

The La Tahonilla Wildlife Recovery Center, in Tenerife, has reconstructed the plumage of a falcon whose primary feathers had been broken and this circumstance made it difficult for it to fly.

Specifically, they have carried out a graft of feathers extracted from some other animal of the same species that for whatever reason has died, the veterinarian of the Alejandro Suárez center indicates this Monday in a statement.

It is a tagarote falcon is in danger of extinction that in Spain is only found in the Canary archipelago, in all the islands and in the islets of Roque del Este, Alegranza and Montaña Clara.

The main task of the Wild Fauna Recovery Center is to collect and attend to all the animals that, either because they suffer from some type of problem or because they are, in some way, a threat to the fauna, flora or to human beings.

The objective is, in those cases that are favorable, to treat them to recover them and return them to their natural environment so that they can continue to carry out their work in the ecosystem.
