Agents of the Local Police of La Orotava instruct proceedings against a citizen residing in the northern municipality for an alleged crime of animal abuse, after locating his dog tied with a chain at the entrance of his farm and with clear symptoms of malnutrition.
It was the call of an anonymous citizen that alerted the police, who located the dog in poor condition. Also, the agents estimated that the dog could have been in the same conditions for several days.
Immediately, they requested the presence of a veterinarian who proceeded to assess the animal, confirming its malnutrition as well as other pathologies. “We trust that it will evolve favorably in the coming days,” the agents shared.
