The Mayor presents a new edition of the 2022 Almond Blossom Campaign

The Mayor, Emilio Navarro presented this morning, January 17, a new edition of the Almond Blossom Campaign 2022, which will host a program that will integrate a large number of routes, events, contests, gastronomic route, agro-artisan market (as long as the health situation allows it), which will take place from January 22 to February 20.

Thus, in said presentation, apart from the Mayor, the Councilor for Culture, Sergio Mendoza, who broke down step by step the program of events for this year 2022 with the different guided routes and others that have great acceptance such as pets, lovers and without barriers as well as photography and story contests. In addition, the Councilor for Commerce, Krysten Martín, was present, who spoke of a new edition of the gastronomic exhibition around the almond tree in which 22 establishments and businesses participate and of the different gastronomic workshops and exhibitions around said campaign.

The Mayor, Emilio Navarro, pointed out that “the flowering of the almond tree is one of the most important acts that the municipality has and that it also has great repercussions at the island level. For us, it is also a tourist product within our commitment to ecotourism We have designed from the different municipal departments a very complete program of events that for almost a month the people who come here will enjoy the spectacle of the white and pink color of the almond tree flowers that together with the lava flows through which it passes will leave a postcard recorded in the memory of those who can make it.

The flowering of the almond tree is also a product of economic revitalization for the municipality and that generates wealth and work for our neighbors and our neighbors, “said the Mayor.
