SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 24 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has just ratified that the COVID Certificate is mandatory to access the establishments, premises and facilities proposed by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, as announced by the head of the Canary Islands Executive, Ángel Victor Torres.
As one of the main measures to stop the increase in infections, the Executive commissioned the Minister of Health to request the TSJC to support the mandatory nature of the COVID Certificate for access to certain leisure or commercial spaces, as determined by other superior rooms from various Spanish communities.
The Canarian Government has always trusted the TSJC to support the initiative for the mandatory use of the COVID Certificate. Until now, the requirement for a certificate in nightlife or restaurants was only voluntary and allowed the application of measures of a lower level than that of the island in question. Now it will be mandatory, as is already the case throughout Europe, the world and in other regions of Spain, apart from the fact that it has already had the support of the Supreme Court.
