SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 24 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ministry of Health of the Canary Government has positively valued the decision of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) to ratify the implementation of the COVID Certificate in the Archipelago, under the modality of mandatory use, for all sectors that are subject to restrictions of capacity or hours on the islands that are at alert levels 3 and 4.

This measure is scheduled to come into force tomorrow, after its publication in an extraordinary BOC today, and will have an initial validity of one month, a period during which it will be subject to monitoring and evaluation, without prejudice to the possibility of a new extension based on of the evolution of the epidemiological situation.

The entry into force of the mandatory certificate for establishments and activities subject to hourly and capacity limits on the islands at levels 3 and 4 does not allow them to benefit from applying lower level measures, as was the case when the use of the covid certificate was maintained As a volunteer.

The objective is to establish exceptional measures to control the health situation of people who access certain establishments, facilities or activities considered risky for the transmission of COVID-19, to stop its spread.

SANITARY ACCESS REQUIREMENTS

Access to the establishments, facilities or activities for public use established in the standard will require the accreditation of the absence of active COVID-19 infection for users over 12 years and 3 months. This accreditation will be carried out by displaying the negative result of a diagnostic test for active COVID-19 infection, carried out in a legally authorized laboratory with a maximum of 48 hours in advance, and self-diagnostic tests are not admissible.

This accreditation may be replaced, at the option of the interested party, either by the voluntary accreditation of vaccination, showing an official certificate of having received the complete vaccination schedule in accordance with the provisions of the Vaccination Strategy against COVID-19 in Spain, starting of the 14 days after the date of administration of the last dose of the complete vaccination schedule, or by the voluntary accreditation of having passed the disease between 11 and 180 days prior, through the exhibition of an official certificate.

Accreditation will be carried out by displaying any of the planned certificates, in digital or paper format, to the persons designated for access control by the person who owns or is responsible for the establishment, facility or activity, who will carry out their verification .

At the entrance of the establishments, facilities or activities, in a visible area, an informative poster will be placed to the public about the necessary nature of this documentation for access to it, as well as about the non-conservation of accredited personal health data.

SPACES WHERE ACCREDITATION WILL BE REQUIRED

The accreditation of the established sanitary requirements will be required for access to hotel and catering establishments open to the public, whose resolution granting the opening license has a capacity of more than 30 people. The dining rooms (not cafeterias) of formal education centers are exempted from this measure, with respect to students and teachers.

Also for access to nightlife establishments and activities, whose resolution granting an opening license has a capacity of more than 30 people, as well as in those others in which, regardless of their capacity, the consumption of food is allowed, and establishments and spaces dedicated to recreational and chance activities, whose resolution granting an opening license has a capacity of more than 30 people, as well as in those others in which, regardless of their capacity, the consumption of food is allowed.

The COVID Certificate will also be required for access to events and celebrations with concentration of people and music festivals attended by more than 500 people, as well as in those others in which, regardless of their capacity, the consumption of food is allowed or drink; sporting events attended by more than 500 people, as well as those in which, regardless of their capacity, the consumption of food or drink is allowed.

Also for public shows attended by more than 500 people, as well as in those in which, regardless of their capacity, the consumption of food or drink is allowed, as well as cultural activities in cinemas, theaters, auditoriums and the like, whose The resolution granting the opening license has a capacity of more than 50 people, as well as in those others in which, regardless of their capacity, the consumption of food or drink is allowed.

Similarly, the Certificate must be presented to access gyms and similar equipment, as well as to access health establishments and centers for visits to admitted patients, as well as to accompany users to consultation, diagnostic tests, cures or treatment, except in the cases of minors, disabled people, dependents or people whose health circumstances or of any other type require them, at the discretion of the health personnel of the center or establishment, in addition to residential or day social health establishments, for visits and people outside the institution.

DEMANDABLE IN OPEN AND CLOSED SPACES

The accreditation of the sanitary requirements will be required for access both to the open spaces and to the closed spaces of the establishments, facilities or activities indicated.

The establishments and activities in which it will be required are those that offer the greatest risk of contagion, usually related to leisure activities, or those in which there is a special relationship with vulnerable people, such as health or social health establishments.

The Ministry of Health recalls that the Order of the Minister of Health, also ratified by the TSJC, which establishes the use of the covid certificate on a voluntary basis in establishments and activities subject to limits, continues to be in force for islands that are in levels 1 and 2 of capacities and schedules. The implementation of the certificate in the establishments allows them to apply measures of a lower level than the one found on the island in question.

The Ministry made the COVID SCS Reader app available to citizens at the beginning of December that can be downloaded from the Apple Store, Google Play and Huawei App Gallery, in order to facilitate the use of the COVID certificate in all establishments and activities they want it.
