The Nub restaurant, in Bahía del Duque, revalidates its Michelin Star. The chefs Fernanda Fuentes-Cárdenas (Chile) and Andrea Bernardi (Italy), who since January have been deploying their kitchen at The Tais Hotels & Villas hotel, once again achieve recognition for their gastronomic proposal where the search for origins and connection between Latin America and Italy with the Canary Islands become a unique experience. Nub was born in 2016 with the vision of creating a space with a very personal kitchen. In 2018, it obtained the prestigious award that now reaffirms in the hotel located in Costa Adeje.
The gala took place at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia where, for the first time, the Michelin Stars have emphasized gastronomic sustainability, incorporating the green stars award for restaurants especially committed to protecting the environment. Chef Andrea Bernardi explained that “the commitment and effort of the entire team is rewarded for continuing to grow and develop the Nub concept in an unbeatable space, such as the Hotel Bahía del Duque. The Michelin star encourages us to continue innovating in an experience that we want to be unique and unforgettable.
Andrea Bernardi explained that 11 months after the opening of the new Nub in Bahía del Duque, «the team managed to a new Michelin Star, 1 Repsol Sol and the best wine list in the Canary Islands. We cannot be happier in 2021. Now it’s time to keep working to keep dreaming for 2022 with new successes ».
The director of Bahía del Duque, Cristina de Juan, stressed that “for The Tais Hotels & Villas, to offer an internationally recognized gastronomic proposal, with the quality and originality provided by Andrea Bernardi and Fernanda Fuentes-Cárdenas, is a source of pride and one more example of the commitment to excellence “.
