
The mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, chaired yesterday, at the Guimerá Theater, the delivery of Medals of Merit, in their modalities of gold, silver and bronze, to 213 workers who have provided their services to the municipality for many years . The councilor began his words with “thanks to everyone for the work they have developed for so many years in this City Council, while congratulating them for this recognition, which does justice to the merits acquired throughout their professional career” . In addition, he added that “it is extensible to all the personnel who carry out their work, day by day, in our Consistory; that offer the best for this public administration to provide its services in so many tasks and in all corners of the municipality ”.
Bermúdez recognized “the value shown in the face of the emergence of the health crisis, which conditioned the usual method of work” and emphasized that this “forced us to adapt to rules that made professional and labor compliance different, not less, because we know the overexertion made ”.
These medals are awarded according to the regulations for rewards and distinctions of March 1977, which were modified in October 2021. Something that allows us to distinguish civil servants and permanent employees.
From now on, it is given to all public and interim employees who have been serving Santa Cruz for more than 15, 25 and 35 years.
