SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Metrotenerife has been activating its special service plan for Christmas weekends this weekend, coinciding with greater commercial activity in the metropolitan area.

In this sense, the trams of Line 1 will offer, from 12.00 to 20.00 hours, frequencies of 8 minutes on Saturdays and 10 minutes on Sundays.

The Minister of Mobility and President of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, points out in a note that this measure responds to the increase in demand and makes it easier for those who do their Christmas shopping to transport leaving the car at home.

As in previous years, the Metrotenerife Christmas Plan also includes special services for the days of Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Three Kings’ Eve in anticipation of a high demand for mobility on these days.

SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS OF CHRISTMAS

With the planned reinforcements, on Saturdays, December 11 and 18, the trams of Line 1 will operate every 8 minutes from 12.00 to 20.00, while on Sundays December 12, 19 and 26 and January 2, they will circulate with frequencies of 10 minute pass.

Apart from these reinforcements, the trams will remain in service throughout the weekend with the usual schedules and frequencies.
