Canary Islands notify this week 122 new outbreaks with 580 cases. These new shoots are distributed by islands as follows: 52 in Gran Canaria, 41 in Tenerife, 14 in Fuerteventura, eight in Lanzarote, six in La Palma and one in La Gomera. These new shoots represent an increase of four with respect to those notified last week. One of the most numerous is the one detected in Maternal and Child Insular University Hospital Complex from Gran Canaria, with 17 cases.

By area in which they have occurred, 41 are family, 25 social, 24 work, 22 educational, five health, three in socially vulnerable groups, and two of mixed origin.

This week, most of the outbreaks range between three and six cases, except for two that exceed the figure of 10 infected people: one of educational origin, with family branches and linked to a family celebration, with 21 affected notified in Fuerteventura; and another health, with social, work and family ramification, in the Insular Hospital, with 17 cases.

The three outbreaks registered in socially vulnerable groups have been reported in Gran canaria, one of them among people who arrived in the Canary Islands in patera or cayucos.
