The Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands (CECOES 1-1-2) has reported this Sunday about the death of a man while practicing paragliding in the area of Vera de Erques in Tejina de Guía, in the municipality of Guía de Isora.
The events took place around 3:31 p.m., when the fall of the man was alerted. The necessary emergency resources were immediately activated. A doctor and a nurse from the greeting center, agents from the Fire Department, the Local Police and the Civil Guard traveled to Guía de Isora.
The Primary Care staff confirmed the death of the man immediately, presenting injuries incompatible with life. Likewise, firefighters from the Consortium rescued the body of the deceased following the instructions of the Judicial Authority, while the Civil Guard instructed the corresponding procedures and took charge of the body until the arrival of the Judicial Authority. The Local Police also collaborated with the emergency services.
