SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 25 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The spokesman for the Government of the Canary Islands, Julio Pérez, has recognized this Thursday the “complexity” of the negotiations to close the transfer on costs but at the same time has indicated that they will not renounce the powers of the Statute of Autonomy.
In the press conference to give an account of the agreements of the Governing Council, he commented that “there are no red lines” with the State and recalled that these same debates were raised with other autonomous communities since once the transfer is made, the same Administrations are still involved and it is a question of setting the limits of each one.
“Establishing the limits has always been complicated,” he indicated, and “it is not uncommon” that there are discussions about the sanctioning regime and planning, since the public domain of the coast belongs to all Spaniards, not to the citizens of a community. autonomous.
However, he has shown his confidence that the situation will finally be resolved according to the powers of the Canary Islands.
