
The Cabildo de Tenerife Roads area will continue with the TF-1 rehabilitation works from tonight until Friday, the 26th. The first of the sections to be resurfaced this week includes the surroundings of the South Airport.
This is the section between kilometer points 59.5 and 58.6. The section between kilometers 51.4 and 50 will also be rehabilitated. Therefore, the links between Aeropuerto Sur (59), San Isidro / Granadilla / El Médano (57) and Polígono Industrial (50 and 52) will be affected.
The insular counselor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, explains that, in this way, the comfort of the drivers is improved, and safety is increased. Also, remember that work is done at night to reduce inconvenience. Arriaga also highlights the work of the workers, who “work every night to improve the quality of life of the Tenerife population.”
The work will be carried out between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., from midnight until the morning of Friday 26. In this way, the Cabildo seeks to avoid inconvenience to drivers and guarantee safety in the work sections, both for the resurfacing staff. as for road users. The diversion of traffic will cover a few kilometers before and after the workspaces.
This week the South Airport link will be affected, during midnight today, Sunday and tomorrow. On these days, those vehicles that circulate in the direction of Santa Cruz and wish to access the airport complex, must continue until the junction No. 57 San Isidro / Granadilla / El Médano to make a U-turn and return south to their destination.
Likewise, users who wish to drive towards the capital from the airport should leave in the direction of Los Cristianos until the junction number 62 Los Abrigos / San Miguel / Las Galletas, make the U-turn and join in the direction of Santa Cruz.
On Tuesday night, the San Isidro junction will also be closed due to work. On this occasion, vehicles wishing to access this link in the direction of Santa Cruz must continue until exit 52, Polígono Industrial de Granadilla, Acceso B, make a U-turn and return south to this area.
The rest of the week the entrance links to the Polygon will be closed.
