«The objective of this project is to improve the evacuation of wastewater and its connections to the collectors of the general sanitation system of the La Orotava Valley region. Actions that are in line with the creation of a Wastewater Pumping Station (EBAR) in La Alhóndiga street, between San Agustín and Realejo Bajo, or the provision of the sanitation network in Reyes Católicos street in Realejo Alto , projects included in the joint investment of the Municipal Cooperation Plan. Actions totaling around 1.8 million euros ”, according to the Deputy Mayor, Adolfo González (PP).
In the specific case of the La Carrera project and the surroundings of Los Barros, the councilor for Urbanism, Laura Lima, explains that “the planned action involves the construction of a main sewage collector and projection wells to bridge the differences in heights, branches of waste collectors and the provision of a secondary network that will intercept household connections to lead them and discharge their water to the main collector and branches ”.
«We understand that this investment will notably improve the environmental quality of this urbanization and guarantee better conditions of the connections of the buildings to the network, which is added to the improvement of the urbanization’s sewerage network, the replacement of the catchment scuppers of rainwater and the resurfacing of the roads affected by the works described “, concludes the mayor.
