SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Hoteles Escuela de Canarias (Hecansa), a center attached to the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, will have its own space in the traditional Insular Craft Fair of La Gomera.
The event will take place this weekend in the parking lots of the Visitor Center of the municipality of San Sebastián de La Gomera, and will feature around 60 stands designed to publicize and promote local products.
As a company already consolidated in the education sector, Hecansa will take advantage of its link with the hotel and restaurant industry to carry out training activities with the products of La Gomera as protagonists.
Specifically, issues such as the different forms of production, their history and tradition, and the elaborations that can be made with them will be addressed so that, finally, the attending public can taste them.
These training experiences will be developed in maximum periods of one hour on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and are carried out in collaboration with producers, brands and entities whose field of work is traditional and local gastronomy .
Thus, Hecansa seeks to support local commerce and promote the social, cultural, environmental and economic sustainability of La Gomera and the Canary Islands, a commitment that is already integrated into the training offer present in all the Dual Vocational Training programs of Hoteles Escuela de Canarias: Food and Beverage Management (face-to-face and online), Kitchen Management, Gastronomy Services and Hotel Management.
On the other hand, to continue promoting local talent and professionalization, Hecansa offers its students the possibility of training through Specialization Courses and other learning experiences.
To make it easier for everyone to access these programs, Hecansa has its own scholarship service aimed at both students and those who want to continue their training.
