SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Public Administrations, Justice and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands, Julio Pérez, intervened this Friday at the Justice Sector Conference and pointed out that the training and active participation of public employees is “key” to extend the digitization of Justice .
The meeting took place in person at the Senate Palace in Madrid and in it Pérez referred in his initial speech to the draft Law on Digital Efficiency of the Public Justice Service, which the central Government is promoting at the moment.
The counselor stressed that both with the equipment, as well as the programs and systems, it will be necessary to implement very intense actions to train the law for the different operators and users, as well as to obtain, after the necessary union negotiation, the participation and the complicity of the public employees of the Administration of Justice.
Julio Pérez also referred to the need to reflect collectively on the incidence or effects that the new model of justice will have, based on both digitization and territorial reorganization, architecture and physical spaces dedicated to judicial services.
This will also be influenced by the possibility that, in addition, in the field of Justice there may be “relocated work and telework”, reflected the Minister of Justice of the Canary Islands.
The Sector Conference also discussed the Program for the implementation of the new organizational model of the Public Justice Service and the development of the new model of the Civil Registry.
The Conference approved the criteria for the distribution of European funds for Justice, of which the Canary Islands have already received 1,492,000 euros and expect to receive another four million euros in the next distribution corresponding to the year 2022.
PARTICIPATION IN THE NATIONAL COMMISSION OF JUDICIAL STATISTICS AND IN THE PLENARY OF THE CTEAJE
Apart from the Sectorial Conference on Friday, the Canary Islands were present on Thursday at the National Commission of Judicial Statistics and in the plenary session of the State Technical Committee of the Electronic Judicial Administration (CTEAJE), events attended by the Deputy Minister of Justice, Carla Vallejo , and the general director of Relations with the Administration of Justice of the Government of the Canary Islands, Marta Bonnet.
The National Commission of Judicial Statistics approved, with the agreement of the representatives of the Government of the Canary Islands, the modification of the statistical bulletins that will guarantee a better quality of the data collected in order to incorporate them into the future Data Portal of the Administration of Justice.
Likewise, the work structure on co-governance has been deepened, agreeing to urge the necessary regulatory modifications so that all the autonomous communities with powers in matters of Justice are represented in this order.
Meanwhile, in the plenary session of the CTEAJE, the minimum services that must be offered to the public electronically through the so-called ‘Justice Folder’ were agreed and the data and the presentation that the Data Portal of the Administration of Justice.
Likewise, ideas have been shared to determine the priority projects for 2023 in order to align them with the ‘Justice 2030’ strategy and the financing possibilities offered by European funds.
All of these are actions aimed at improving the accessibility and effectiveness of the Public Justice Service that necessarily go through its digital transformation and greater transparency of internal processes as well as for citizens.
