SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Citizen collaboration made it possible this Thursday for the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to locate and deliver to its rightful owner the documentation, cash and a check for 103,500 euros that it had lost in the capital of Tenerife.
In this case, it was the owners of the premises ‘100 Montaditos’, located in the Plaza de La Candelaria, who detected all this documentation in a folder that a client had left in the establishment.
Thus, they immediately contacted the Local Police to deliver and try to return said effects.
The agents of the Operational Unit, after reviewing the documentation, which included a contract for the sale of a property, the aforementioned check and the amount of 200 euros in cash, began to cross data to allow the location of its owner .
With these data and the support of the Lost Property service, it was possible to find an Italian citizen to whom all the documentation and money belonged.
Once in person at the police station, this man commented to the agents his gratitude for the police work and the responsibility and civility shown by those in charge of the premises where he had lost a folder inside which were the documentation.
In fact, he explained that after detecting the loss, he could not determine where in the city he had lost the documents, the check and the money.
For his part, the owner of this restaurant, Eduardo Otero, played down this fact before the agents. “We did what we should do,” he said.
In fact, Otero explained that just five months before he himself had lost his wallet with documentation, cards and money in the middle of the street and someone had also given it to the Local Police, recovering all its contents after being located by the agents.
