SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Canary Islands Governing Council authorized this Friday to allocate 26,681,248.27 euros to extend the contracting of the supply of individual protection material to supply the health centers of the Canary Health Service, through a dynamic acquisition system (SDA).
The supply consists of goggles and protective screens, gloves, leggings, swabs, caps, masks, hydroalcoholic solution, both biocide and surfaces, gowns, divers and overalls necessary to carry out the care activity in safety conditions and for the prevention and control of COVID-19 in hospitals and Primary Care centers of the SCS.
The maximum estimated value of the contracts formalized by the SCS managements through the dynamic procurement system will be the following: Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital, 4,299,271.98 euros; Canary Islands University Hospital, 4,191,824.69 euros; Insular-Maternal-Infant University Hospital Complex, 4,090,251.29 euros; University Hospital of Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín, 4,068,609.74 euros; Primary Care Management of Gran Canaria, 2,332,176.06 euros; Tenerife Primary Care Management, 2,332,176.06 euros; Lanzarote Health Services Management, 1,898,170.63 euros; Fuerteventura Health Services Management, 1,416,088.28 euros; La Palma Health Services Management, 1,354,462.51 euros; La Gomera Health Services Management, 355,703.90 euros and El Hierro Health Services Management, 342,513.12 euros.
Dynamic procurement systems are regulated in the Public Sector Contract Law, within the chapter for the ‘Technical Rationalization of Procurement’.
Thus, it is a totally electronic process that must be open throughout the period of validity to any interested company that meets the selection and solvency criteria.
The efficiency in the processing of the contracting files and the high number of accredited companies that can participate in the tenders justify the extension of the supply of individual protection material from the SCS for one more year through this system.
The supply SDA has been active since its establishment on December 9, 2020 by resolution of the General Directorate of Economic Resources and with this extension the supply of these materials is guaranteed until December 9, 2022.
There are currently 48 active companies and 194 contracts have been awarded for a total value of 7,772,495.86 euros, although each week applications from new companies that request to join as suppliers are evaluated in the different categories that comprise it, which facilitates the achievement of more advantageous prices for the SCS by favoring market competition.
