SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The 24-hour monitoring volcanic surveillance network of the National Geographic Institute (IGN) has located this noon an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 (mbLg), felt with an intensity of III.
The earthquake was located at 12.17 hours southwest of the municipality of Villa de Mazo, 35 km deep, and has been felt in numerous points in Tijarafe, El Paso, Breña Alta, Los Llanos, Puntagorda, Fuencaliente, Garafía, Santa Cruz de La Palma, Breña Baja, Tazacorte and San Andrés y Sauces.
Since last midnight, a score of earthquakes have been detected in the surroundings of the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano, four of them with magnitudes greater than 3 (mbLg), of which two have been felt with an intensity of II-III, and the last, of magnitude 4.3.
