The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has advanced that this Thursday the Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory of the Government of Spain, Felix Bolaños, will participate in La Palma and together with the Canarian Executive in a commission mixed to respond to the “tremendous situation” that those affected by the eruption of the volcano on the island are experiencing.
This has been explained by the regional president at the exit of the preparatory meeting of that mixed inter-administrative commission to face the consequences of the volcanic eruption on La Palma, where he has realized the approval of the 10 million from the central government for the purchase of houses, another 10 from the regional Executive, as well as other funds and measures adopted, such as 7 million for the economy and employment or the new ERTE agreement.
In this case, President Torres intervened telematically from the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, different ministers, the president of the Cabildo de La Palma, the mayors were present. from El Paso, Tazacorte and Los Llanos, as well as other members of the regional Executive.

The regional president has also detailed that there will be “the opening in the coming days” of a care office for the victims of La Palma, to give them a “social, housing” or “other caliber” response.
Torres stressed that the message he wants to convey to the public is that the administration acts “in coordination to respond as quickly as possible to the circumstances that are occurring.” In addition, he wanted to emphasize the need to “maintain precautions” so that this episode ends, as it began, “without having any personal harm to regret.”
