CC reproaches the island government for not providing the information requested in the Governing Council of the Institute of Social and Socio-Health Care (IASS) held on Thursday and in the plenary commission of Social Action that took place the day before yesterday. «Franquet has not provided the information we requested. If you have nothing to hide, you should make public the information we have requested, “says the nationalist councilor.
Pérez Delgado explains that “we are facing a performance of a great depth”, alluding to the transfer of some 250 people “who need specialized attention and that, for the moment, still does not take place”. In that sense, he recalls that the president of the Insular Corporation and the area counselor “announced in June 2020 the transfer of users from the Febles Campos Hospital to the Seminary and the reality is that to date it has not occurred.”
The nationalist councilor announces that her political formation will continue to request the information that is denied “to know what is happening.” At the same time, CC works “to find a solution for the patients and workers of the Institute of Social and Socio-Health Care (IASS), which is the most important thing.”
This situation adds to the closure of the Ansina program and “now we see that they are not capable of either executing the Social Health Infrastructure Plan that we left planned or of managing the situation of the users of the Febles Campos well.”
The PP awaits the documentation
Zaida González, the Popular Party spokesperson in the Cabildo, recalls that the PP rejected this file after learning the position of the IASS single works council. “After the president and the counselor of Social Action announced in the media the transfer of patients from Febles Campos, we requested the file on several occasions, to which we were told that it did not appear,” explains the popular counselor. . In fact, he assures that “weeks before this file went to the Board of Directors, and even before knowing the version of the workers, we had requested the file in question at the island institution, which we have monitored since beginning, without the documentation being provided to us until the moment of convening the Council ”.
In June 2020, the transfer of patients and employees was announced to rebuild the Febles Campos Hospital, after demolishing the current building, which dates back to the 1950s.
