SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A patera-type boat with 61 people on board has been intercepted in waters near Tenerife by Maritime Rescue, which then transferred them ashore to the Los Cristianos dock (Arona), in the south of the island, the Red Cross reported this Wednesday. through a statement.
The 61 immigrants were treated by both the Red Cross and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), which decided to transfer one of them to a health center for different pathologies.
The announcement occurred at around 4:20 on Wednesday and the Red Cross displaced 15 volunteers with hygiene kits, clothing, footwear, blankets and food. The local police, the national police, the port police and Frontex also attended.
