The heat increases slightly in the Canary Islands this Monday, when generalized cloudy intervals and possible light rains are expected in northern areas, while the wind can be locally strong at times, announces the State Meteorological Agency.

The highest value that is expected is 27 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 26 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and the lowest of 22 degrees in both capitals, according to their forecast, which predicts a northeast wind, occasionally strong in southeast and northwest slopes of different islands.

Northeast winds are also expected in the waters of the archipelago, with force 4 to 5 and the possibility of rising to 6 in some areas and accompanied by swell to strong swell and north swell of 1 to 2 meters.

The weather forecast for Monday, by islands, is as follows

GRAN CANARIA

In the north, cloudy with a low probability of scattered light rains in the early hours and opening of clearings in the central hours. In the rest of the areas, little cloudy in general. Temperatures with few changes or a slight rise from the maximums at high altitudes. Northeast wind, occasionally strong on the southeast and northwest slopes in the afternoon and with a predominance of breezes on the southwest coast.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 22/26

LANZAROTE

Cloudy intervals tending to slightly cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures with little change. Northeast wind.

FUERTEVENTURA

Cloudy intervals in the northern half and slightly cloudy in general in the rest. Temperatures with little change. Northeast wind.

TENERIFE

In the north and northeast, generally cloudy skies with a low probability of scattered light rains in the early and late hours, opening up clearings in the northeast in central hours. In the rest of the areas, cloudy intervals. Temperatures with few changes or a slight rise from the maximums at high altitudes. Northeast wind, occasionally strong on the southeast slope and in the extreme northwest in the afternoon and with a predominance of breezes on the north and west coasts; in central peaks, generally weak northwest wind.

Temperatures with few changes or in slight ascent in summits. Northeast wind, more intense on east and northwest slopes and with breezes on south-facing coasts.

San Sebastian de La Gomera 23/27

THE PALM

In the north and east, skies in general cloudy or very cloudy, opening clear in central hours and with probable scattered weak rains in the first and last hours. In the rest of the areas, cloudy intervals. Temperatures with few changes or a slight rise in the midlands and peaks. Northeast wind, more intense in the extreme southeast and northwest and with a predominance of the breeze regime on the west slope.

MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM EXPECTED TEMPERATURES (° C):

Santa Cruz de La Palma 22/27

THE IRON

In the north, generally cloudy skies with a low probability of scattered weak rains in the first and last hours, with cloudy intervals prevailing in the rest of the areas. Temperatures with few changes or a slight rise in interior areas. Northeast wind, more intense on the southeast slope and in the extreme northwest and with breezes on the north and southwest coasts.
