Sunday with falling temperatures

Temperatures may drop slightly in some areas of the Canary Islands this Sunday, when clouds and clearings are expected with possible drizzles and intense local wind at times, announces the State Meteorological Agency.

The highest value that is expected is 28 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 27 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and the lowest of 22 degrees in both capitals, according to their forecast, which indicates that the expected wind is from the northeast, more intense in the southeast and northwest of several islands.

The wind is expected from the north or northeast in the waters of the archipelago, with force 4 to 5 and the possibility of rising to 6 in some areas and accompanied by swell to strong swell and north swell of 1 to 2 meters.

The weather forecast for Sunday, by islands, is as follows

GRAN CANARIA

In the north, cloudy with occasional light rains during the first half of the day and clearing in central hours. In the rest of the areas, little cloudy in general tending to cloudy in central hours, mainly in interior areas of the southern slope. Temperatures with few changes or a slight decrease in the northern midlands. Northeast wind, more intense on the southeast and northwest slopes in the afternoon and with a predominance of breezes on the southwest coast.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 22/27

LANZAROTE

Cloudy intervals with low probability of drizzle in the northern half of the early morning. Temperatures with little change. Northeast wind.

FUERTEVENTURA

Cloudy intervals with low probability of drizzle in the northern half of the early morning. Temperatures with little change. Northeast wind.

TENERIFE

In the north, generally cloudy skies with occasional light rains during the first half of the day, opening clear in the northeast in central hours. In the rest of the areas, cloudy intervals with a low probability of scattered light rains, mainly in the midwest. Temperatures with few changes or in slight decrease locally. Northeast wind, more intense on the southeast slope and in the extreme northwest in the afternoon and with a predominance of breezes on the north and west coasts; in central peaks, wind of loose west component in general.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife 22/28

LA GOMERA

In the north, mostly cloudy skies with occasional light rains during the first half of the day. In the rest of the areas, cloudy intervals. Temperatures with few changes or a slight decrease in the northern midlands. Northeast wind, more intense on east and northwest slopes and with a predominance of breezes on south-facing coasts.

MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM EXPECTED TEMPERATURES (° C):

San Sebastian de La Gomera 23/27

THE PALM

In the north and east, generally cloudy skies with occasional light rains during the first half of the day. In the rest of the areas, cloudy intervals with a low probability of scattered light rains. Temperatures with few changes or a slight decrease, mainly on the north and east slopes. Northeast wind, more intense in the extreme southeast and northwest and with a predominance of breezes on the west slope.

MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM EXPECTED TEMPERATURES (° C):

Santa Cruz de La Palma 21/26

THE IRON

In the north, cloudy with occasional light rains during the first half of the day and clearing in central hours. In the rest of the areas, cloudy intervals. Temperatures with few changes or a slight decrease in the northern midlands. Northeast wind, more intense on the southeast slope and in the extreme northwest and with a predominance of breezes on the north and west coasts.
