SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 16 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The head of the Environment and Emergencies service of the Cabildo de La Palma, Miguel Ángel Morcuende, has been appointed this Thursday technical director of Pevolca and will be responsible for the direction and coordination of all the actions carried out under the plan itself.
This has been advanced by the Deputy Minister of the Presidency, Antonio Olivera, in the press conference after the Governing Council in which he stressed that “he is a person of consensus, as well as the island and has a lot of experience in emergencies”.
This is one of the agreements taken during the constitution and implementation of the Steering Committee of the Special Plan for Civil Protection and Emergency Attention due to volcanic risk in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands (Pevolca) due to the seismic swarm of La Palma.
