SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, presented this Thursday the project ‘Alianza Solidaria de Tenerife’, a web platform that, under the domain www.alianzasolidariastenerife.com, will be designed by the CIO-Company Group of the Western Islands in order to help the most vulnerable groups on the island by “creating a space where entities that have projects that need financing can quickly find a company who wants to collaborate to move them forward. “

The project, which was presented by the CIO’s Director of Corporate Responsibility, Mónica Rumeu, will be launched in a short space of time, after having carried out and the signing of an agreement between this organization – which will assume the cost and hosting the web domain and will donate the hours of marketing, communication and design work -; the ‘Tenerife Isla Solidaria’ program, managed by Sinpromi; and the Spanish Confederation of Entrepreneurs in the province (CEOE Tenerife).

The third vice president of the Cabildo and counselor of Social Action, Marián Franquet, appreciated “the fact that this initiative has arisen from the business sector, through the CIO, who proposed the project to us, and from there we began to organize the puzzle that it will allow ordering, organizing and optimizing the actions of the business world with the reality of the third sector “.

Rumeu explained that the ‘Alianza Solidaria de Tenerife’ will be a network that brings together the island’s companies to “join forces and meet the needs of the groups that need it most, through the meeting of island organizations that, in coordination with the Cabildo de Tenerife, will connect with the entities that have projects, thus actively creating collaborations “.

Thus, he pointed out that companies will enhance their corporate social responsibility for the benefit of third sector entities and the population of Tenerife. “‘Alianza Solidaria de Tenerife’ directs its efforts to current needs and takes solidarity and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the 2030 Agenda as the central axes of the agreement,” he added.

For his part, the CEOE Tenerife CEO, Eduardo Bezares, thanked both the CIO and the Cabildo for the effort to carry out the project, in which the employers will participate by raising awareness and making the initiative known among its associates and communication channels. social comunication.

In addition, he added that companies must commit to a “responsible” management model and “prioritize” people to continue with the commitment to lead the future of the Canary Islands, “hence the importance of making corporate social responsibility an element of competitiveness and sustainability “.

The project ‘Alianza Solidaria de Tenerife’, which aims to become a meeting place between the demand of volunteer organizations and the offer of help or collaboration by companies, will be especially aimed at organizations and business associations that wish to cover real needs, not always economic, of the citizenry.

Within the scope of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the 2030 Agenda, all efforts will be unified in six areas of action: Solidarity that Feeds (SDG 2: zero hunger), Seniors with a Smile (SDG 3: health and well-being) , Brave Mothers (SDG 10: reduction of inequalities) and Connection for All (SDG 4: quality education), Projects with Illusion (SDG 17: alliance to achieve the objectives) and Projects with Inclusion (SDG 10: reduction of inequalities ).
